Beautiful historic Stevenaak
Sailing vessel 'Helena' is a two-masted stern barge from 1875. This river sailing vessel is the oldest iron sailing inland vessel in the Netherlands. After an extensive museum restoration, the ship is back in its original state and is recognized as a sailing monument. The ship is fully equipped and meets the strictest safety requirements. From its home port of Rotterdam, this monumental stern barge sails all inland waterways, as far as Basel.
Features
The 'Helena' can be used both sailing and stationary. Not only from the home port of Rotterdam, but also from other ports, the ship can be used for meetings, dinners, weddings and staff parties. Even the YES word can be given on board! The Helena has room for 48 guests.
Sailing with the Helena
Sailing with a 40 meter long original stern barge from 1875 is a unique experience. During the trip, the skipper and his crew invite you to help hoist the sails and perform various maneuvers. Nothing has to be done and (almost) everything is allowed! The ship's cook provides the most delicious meals while sailing and under sail we explore the beautiful waters of the Netherlands. Many routes are possible.
