Welcome aboard Barkentijn de Atlantis
The Atlantis barkentine was built in 1905 on a shipyard in Hamburg as a lightship - a beacon in the mouth of the Elbe, in a place where the construction of a lighthouse is not possible. After 70 years of service in the Buitenelbe she got a second life as a sailing ship.
The underwater ship of the Atlantis has a classic sailing ship line. A reason to thoroughly restore the ship in 1984 and to provide it with the rigging of a barkentine. This means that the front mast of the sailing vessel is a transverse vessel and the other masts are longitudinal.
Southern atmosphere on deck
It is a ship with a lot of luxury and style, but with the traditional appearance that makes the ship so popular. The salon is generously and comfortably furnished. A stylish salon bar and own hotel kitchen complete the comfort on board. The Atlantis comes into its own on the warmer waters. The three-master has a beautiful spacious deck with an outside bar. A place where you can relax.
Generous space
The Atlantis can accommodate up to 140 people for day trips and up to 36 people cabin accommodation. Guests can look forward to experienced and enthusiastic service staff and excellent catering. And of course on a great nautical experience on an authentic three-master.
