During this Wadden sailing and walking holiday you go with skipper Remco on his clipper Suydersee. This tour is dedicated to experiencing nature for a maximum of 18 participants. So dry out, get an explanation about the Wad and visit the specific, beautiful places on the islands under the guidance of local guides. In collaboration with Friesland Beweegt.
The Five Islands Walking Tour is a unique, active walking holiday in which walking, sailing, nature and fun are central.
On Sunday evening, there is first a buffet in the Brewery dock in Harlingn. In the evening, the passengers hoist the sails of a fleet of impressive ships and the ship sails to Texel. In the morning, after a joint breakfast and with a packed lunch in your bag, you step from your authentic sailing ship on the island. Medium (20-25 km) and long (25-30 km) hiking routes have been mapped out for you on each island. So in total you walk between 110 and 150 km over the five Wadden Islands. Along the way you will pass beautiful nature, through charming villages and along first aid and stamping stations. Once back on your ship, the participants will dine together and you will sail across the enchanting Wad to the next island.
After the five Wadden Islands have been called, the ships sail through the Frisian canals to Leeuwarden. There you spend the night on the ship in the beautiful Prinsentuin, where you can join a city walk by experienced guides. After a full week on board you will be back in Harlingen on Sunday afternoon.
Everyone is expected to contribute to the household activities. This includes helping with the hot meals, breakfast, washing up and light cleaning.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
