Wonderful yoga trip Scotland

Sunday 21 May 2023 18: 00 t / m Friday 26 May 2023 10: 00

Calm the mind and nourish your body

The west coast of Scotland provides a diverse and breathtaking backdrop to connect with nature. Vast skies and the open sea calm the mind as instructors guide you through a variety of mindfulness techniques. From Vinyasa or yin yoga to Mindful walking, fire energy, breathwork and a dip in the sea. In the meantime you sail from one beautiful area to another.

What to expect?

Mornings begin with light activities such as Pranayama (breathwork) to calm the mind, or vinyasa yoga to start the day with movement. A tasty and healthy breakfast will then prepare you for a sailing day to the next destination. The wind brings the tranquility of being on the road under sail. Under calm conditions you have the opportunity to enjoy the serene ocean and keep an eye open for the various animals that live under, on and in the water. Island hopping between remote and beautiful anchorages offers the opportunity to enjoy this “zensational” area and experience the healing powers of nature.

Travel information

Indicated program is a guideline and can be adjusted under the influence of weather, current and wind. Flexibility is the rule on this trip.

Day 1 Loch Sunart
This journey begins in the pretty fishing town of Oban. From 18:00 you are welcome on board to get to know the crew and instructors as well as the other passengers. Leave Oban in the evening for a short journey to a quiet anchorage in Loch Sunart.

Day 2 Canna
Today begins with an introduction to vinyasa yoga, gentle exercises, and pranayama (breathing exercises). On the way to Canna you can help with the sailing and you can surrender to the rhythm of life on the water. On arrival at Canna, amidst the rocky coast and spring flowers, head to the puffin colony for some “puffin therapy” on Sandray Island. Back on the ship there is another introduction to yin yoga to calm the body and mind for a restful night's sleep.

Day 3 Rum
Today the day starts with a morning walk to Coroghon Castle followed by hatha yoga on the beach. Then the sails are set for a trip to Rum while enjoying the marine life and the flight of the Norwegian shearwaters that breed on the cliffs of Rum. Arriving at Rum, a special nature reserve, there may be the opportunity to observe one of the many red deer that roam the island. In the afternoon there is a yoga/pilates session at the community center on the island and you prepare for an evening of fire activities and a cocoa session.

Day 4 Ardnamurchan
The day starts with breathing exercises and meditation, followed by a Mindful walk among the trees on Rum. After this the sail goes up for a trip to the Ardnamurchan peninsula to anchor at a sandy beach. The azure blue water invites everyone for a swim before everyone can surrender to an "Excited dance" on the beach in the evening to let you go completely.

Day 5 Kerrera
Morning meditation and vinyasa yoga on deck before the captain continues south through the straits of the Sound of Mull. A closing festive meal and the opportunity to reflect on the week. The ship anchors next to a beautiful island near Oban harbour.

Day 6 Oban
After breakfast everyone says goodbye to each other before you leave the ship at 10:00 AM.
