Music and whiskey trip Scotland

Saturday 19 September 2020 18: 00 t / m Saturday 26 September 2020 10: 00

Music journey through Scotland

A combination of sailing, playing music and visiting famous whiskey distilleries. The highlight is the unique Jura music Festival. On this Music and Whiskey trip Scotland there will be at least two good musicians who can inspire others and who you can enjoy with a glass of life water (whiskey) in hand. Live music with the musicians every day, in the evening in the local pub or on the ship. Anyone who cares about folk music, whiskey and Scotland can join in and go.

Of course, sailing has not become secondary during the entire journey. Enthusiasts of the beautiful Scottish nature and / or sailing on this impressive sailing ship are no doubt welcome on board. Come aboard and be seduced by countless new, unforgettable experiences.

Possible travel schedule

Day 1 - Oban
After embarking in Oban you will meet the other guests and the crew during dinner. In Oban you will find the famous Oban whiskey distillery, which is definitely worth a visit!

Day 2 - Tobermory
Sailing past the imposing Duart Castle to the island of Mull, which is opposite Oban. Tobermory is a picturesque and colorful fishing village with a famous distillery. In Scotland's nicest pub, Mishnish, they make music well into the night.

Day 3 - Staffa and Iona
A visit to the uninhabited island of Staffa. With the zodiac you visit Fingal's cave, a cave like a cathedral. After a visit to Staffa, the course heads to the island of Iona. You may see basking sharks or dolphins during this trip.

Day 4 - Colonsay
Colonsay, an island of 13 km long and almost 5 km wide. The landscape is varied with a number of beautiful sandy beaches.

Day 5 & 6 - Islay and Jura
The ship sails to Islay, here you can take a tour of the Bunnahabhain distillery. Then the journey continues to the island of Jura. Here you will visit the famous Isle of Jura Music Festival. The island of Jura is a paradise of untouched wilderness and natural beauty. The name Jura comes from Norwegian and means 'Deer Island', still an appropriate name because some 5.500 deer exceed the human population of 180.
Wild nature lovers can find more than 100 species of birds such as golden eagles, but also goats, seals, rabbits, hares, ermines and otters.

Day 7 - Oban

This day is sailed back to Oban. Enjoy the widsness and the beautiful nature of the Scottish landscape during this trip.
