In 2020, the Wadden Islands will again be entirely devoted to music and theater during the Horizontoer. With a fleet of authentic sailing ships full of musical and theatrical talent, the festival floods Harlingen, Texel, Terschelling, Vlieland and Ameland. As a visitor you have the choice to sail on one of the sailing ships, or to visit the islands on your own.
A number of packages have been compiled especially for the Horizontoer:
You sail along the Wadden Islands and also stay with the artists on one of the accompanying ships. During the tour you take a look behind the scenes and see how up-and-coming talents are coached by well-known Dutch artists.
You will stay in a 2- or 4-person cabin of an old-Dutch flat-bottomed boat. The cabin is equipped with bunk beds. Mattresses, pillows with pillowcases, bottom sheets, toilets and showers are available. On board - in addition to the skipper and the mate - a Horizontoer host or hostess and an excellent cook, who prepares a delicious dinner for you every day. Breakfast and lunch are also included, as well as all coffee, tea and milk. Beer, soft drinks, wine and stronger drinks are available at a friendly rate.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
