Dutch tjalk from 1896
The ship, a Dutch tjalk, was built in 1896 and was then given the name Nieuwe-Zorg. This one has always kept it, except for five years. De Nieuwe-Zorg was originally built for freight shipping and has transported various types of goods such as peat, stones and wood. Around 1950 it was converted into a houseboat and in the 70s it got its current destination.
