The WON119 is a traditional Dutch flat bottom and former fishing vessel, WON stands for Wonseradeel. The number is the fishing number of the original fishermen, the Poepjes family. The ship is a special lemsteraak, built in 1908 by the famous shipbuilder Auke van der Zee from Joure and very large for her time. The WON119 is currently an official National Sailing Monument, as classified by the Dutch Sailing Heritage Federation.

Sailing on the WON119

You can come sailing with a maximum of 12 people. The spacious, open cockpit and the large front deck offer plenty of space. In bad weather you can hide in the cozy front with a wood stove. The flat bottom meets all requirements in terms of comfort and safety, while maintaining the original appearance. The high bulwark and makes it a very safe boat for families with children.
Everything goes on board, which makes sailing a very special experience and cooperation is therefore necessary.
If you do not want to sail so actively, there is always a nice corner to enjoy the spectacle with a beer or wine in hand.
