Wending

Welcome to the Wending

Baltic Sea tjalk de Wending was built in 1907. Jodi and Craig are the owners of the ship and have adapted the entire interior so that it fully complies with safety requirements. Among other things, sustainable bamboo wood was used during the renovation. This robust sailing ship is also very suitable for children and the disabled due to its dense bulwarks, wide gangways, large foredeck and generous cockpit. Experience shows that they can sail safely.

On board you will receive professional explanation about the ship, after which you will sail together. Even if you want to learn more about navigation, sailing theory, etc., you are in good hands with Jodi and Craig. You are invited to roam from port to port and from island to island while sailing. Sun, sea, wind and fresh air and, if the tide permits, falling dry on the Wad; a unique experience for many people.

Interior

Below deck the attractive interior is spacious, partly due to the large cavity of the ship. This means there is headroom everywhere. The salon offers enough seating for everyone. The galley is well equipped with an oven, six gas burners, two fridges with a freezer compartment.
