Sailing grand café

This koftjalk is stable, large and sturdy. With its length of 43 meters, the Schuttevaer is the largest existing koftjalk in the Netherlands. In 1910 she was launched as “Emanuel” in Stadskanaal. Built at Mulder on behalf of a German shipowner. A course was set for the trading cities of Northern Europe. An impressive heavyweight: 190 tons of water displacement driven by wind. Over the years, sailing freight came to an end. The Schuttevaer was therefore converted into a Coaster. A sharp head was put on it. Until the end of the 80s she sailed as a coaster under the German flag. To eventually end up as a breakwater on the island of Sylt. In 1992 it was brought back to the Netherlands and thoroughly renovated. The head again became a coffee head with a lot of modern comfort. It has a Grand Café on board and the interior is in Art Deco style.

An extra hour costs €150. The crew of the Schuttevaer can also provide catering if required. Below deck is a large bright space to present a beautiful buffet. There are many comfortable seats to enjoy it. The cozy ship's bar is located in the deckhouse. A trip is composed according to the wishes of the customer so that it becomes a day to remember.
