Welcome to the Risk

In 1895, the sailing clipper Risk was finalized at the Van den Adel shipyard in Papendrecht. Built in the heyday of sailing freight, she still proves to be a fine ship after more than 120 years.

The Risk has a high bulwark, wide gangways and plenty of deck space. On deck there is a large cockpit, where you have a fantastic view over the water on all sides.

The interior

The cozy day room in the old cargo hold is characterized by its height and has retained the wonderful nostalgic atmosphere of the past.

The room is heated by means of central heating; this also makes it possible to sail with the Risk in the colder seasons.

The galley is equipped with a generous 6-burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, 2 sinks and all necessary cooking utensils. You will find pans, plates, cutlery and crockery here. This way you can easily put your own breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner on the table during the sailing trip.

The sleeping cabins are all equipped with a washbasin with running water, central heating, a small reading light and storage space for personal items.
