Mare Frisium
The Mare Frisium was left as vislogger on a small yard in Weert water 1916. The ship was built as a half master and equipped with fishing gear and about two kilometers long trawl. When using this method became obsolete in the forties, the ship was sold to Germany and used as cargo. In 1962 was lengthened to its present 40 meters.
In 1995, the current owners discovered the ship and saw her hidden beauty. After a thorough, meticulous renovation, the Mare Frisium now sails the oceans with her sisters as a three-masted topsail schooner. The Mare Frisium is now a hotel ship where you can spend the night cheaply.
