The Larus is a robust sailing ship. During the sailing season, the Larus makes sailing trips from the port of Harlingen over the Wadden Sea and the IJsselmeer. Depending on the weather and wind, a trip can be made over the Wad or IJsselmeer. Discover the most beautiful spots on Dutch waters on the Larus.

About ship

This beautiful tjalk was built in 1893 at the Pattje shipyard in Waterhuizen, for freight shipping on the Baltic Sea. When her service life in the cargo was over, she became a houseboat. In 1987 she was converted into a charter ship and for many years many people have enjoyed the beautiful sailing trips with the Larus. 
The Larus has plenty of walking and lying space on the upper deck and wide gangways, which makes the ship very suitable for young and old.
In the former cargo hold is a completely renovated cozy day room with open kitchen. This kitchen has everything you need to cook for large groups. There are one 1-person cabin and six 2-person cabins and two 4-person cabins for a wonderful night's sleep for 21 people.
