Baltic Sea sailing weekend

Friday 24 April 2020 20: 00 t / m Sunday 26 April 2020 16: 00

Weekend sailing on the Baltic Sea

The city of Kiel on the German Baltic Sea coast is the perfect starting point for a wonderful weekend of sailing on the Baltic Sea. From here, the Danish islands, also called Pearls of the Baltic, are within reach.

Travel information

Everyone is welcomed aboard the Avatar on Friday evening. Once everyone has settled in, you will first enjoy a nice meal. Then it is time to get to know each other a little.
The next morning after the extensive breakfast there is a discussion about the possible sailing destination of this day. Depending on the wind, this could be Marstal on the Danish island of Aerø, Bagenkop on the island of Langeland, the Danish Sønderborg or the towns of Kappeln or Eckernförde on the German coast. The route is chosen in such a way that optimal sailing is possible on both Saturday and Sunday. Sea air makes you hungry and the cook therefore provides a delicious lunch and excellent evening meal on board. In the evening or the next morning we have the opportunity to explore the town.

On Sunday the ship sails back to Kiel. If you want, you can make it an active day again, but of course lazing around or reading a book is also possible. At the end of the afternoon, the Avatar lands in Kiel again.

For the journeys in April and October a minimum number of participants of 6 persons is required. No later than 4 weeks before departure, a decision will be made as to whether the trip will continue.

There is no minimum number of participants for the other journeys on the Avatar; these will certainly continue.
