This festival is known as one of the best and most special theater festivals in Europe. It has become a true phenomenon since its first edition in 1982. Every year in June, the Wadden Island is the stage for theater, dance, street theater, visual arts and music for ten days. The performances are made especially for the special locations, or adapted accordingly. From large spectacle pieces to mime, from intimate music theater to hilarious circus performances, from westerns to interactive installations: you can find it in the dunes, on the beach, in forests, on dikes, in barns and simply on the street.
Friday is gathered at 12.00 in Harlingen. After a brief instruction, the ship leaves for Terschelling as quickly as possible, perhaps on the motor, because the sooner you get there the more you can experience at the Oerol festival.
Saturday after breakfast you can visit the Oerol Festival on your own. The sailing ship remains in the harbor.
On Sunday you will sail back to Harlingen and you will be back in port no later than 17.00.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
