Have you always wanted to sail on a traditional sailing ship to explore the Wadden Sea? Then board a flat-bottomed ship and discover the beautiful destinations on and around the Wadden Sea. A week of sailing for both novice and advanced sailors who want to be active on a large ship. There is plenty of time and space to learn, from sailor knots to operating the sails and swords.
On Sunday evening everyone comes on board and gets to know the fellow passengers and the crew. The next day, after the necessary explanation about sailing, the sails are hoisted for a beautiful trip over the Wadden Sea. Then the ship sails to the first destination. A sail plan is made which is based on wind and tide. The skipper tries to visit at least three Wadden Islands, to fall dry on a sandbank and to walk on the mudflats. A day will also be set up on an island to be able to explore the island extensively by bicycle. The trip also goes to the IJsselmeer, where you will of course visit a beautiful Zuiderzee city. In short, it will be a varied week with something for everyone.
The ship sails about four to five hours a day, the wind and current determine the exact travel time. So there is enough time and space for other activities on land. Bicycle rental on Terschelling is included.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
