The skipper is organizing a sailing trip on the beautiful mudflats again this year, for anyone who wants to come along. Whether it is your first time on a sailing ship, or if you have sailed many times before, you will certainly feel welcome on the Bontekoe. Come and enjoy sailing, the mudflats, the islands, and get to know each other.
Friday evening from 20.00 pm you will be welcomed by the crew with a cup of coffee or tea, you will meet the other sailors and you will be shown around the ship.
The next morning, after breakfast, the crew explains the basics of sailing and the moorings are released and the sails are hoisted to sail to the first nice destination.
It is not clear what exactly the route will be. The skipper knows the Dutch waters very well and makes a nice sailing plan taking into account the weather forecasts and the tide. These days, in addition to sailing, there is also plenty of time to explore the area, go for a walk or have a drink on a terrace.
Monday, the last day, the Bontekoe sails back to the port of departure and you leave the ship around 17.00 pm.
While you are helping the ship moor, the cook is already preparing dinner. The sailors eat together on board, but afterwards there is of course still time to explore the area. You can go into town, go for a walk or rent a bike. Or you can stay on board to play a game with the other sailors, find a quiet corner with a book, or just have a nice chat.
Breakfast consists of different types of bread with cold cuts, cheese and sweet spreads, coffee, tea and milk. Lunch is the same as breakfast, supplemented with something extra such as soup or salad. Fruit is available on board. In between is regularly for coffee and tea with a biscuit.In the evening a delicious hot meal (2-course) is served.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
