Sailing trip along the North Sea, Channel Islands & French coast

This very varied journey with the Avatar starts in Kiel, Germany. The ship first sails through the Nord-Ostsee Canal to the North Sea and along the German and Dutch Wadden Islands. A few miles will be made here to allow more time to explore the Channel Islands and Brittany later on during the trip.

Travel information

An island that is almost certainly planned for a visit is the beautiful Terschelling. Here you can enjoy a wonderful stopover. Via the Netherlands you sail along the Belgian or Southeast English coast. Which ports are visited are wind and weather dependent.

The ultimate goal of this trip are the Channel Islands and Breton coast. The Channel Islands are characterized by the unique mix of French and English influences, a pleasant climate and beautiful, rugged nature. On the islands of Alderney, Guernsey, Sark, Herm and Jersey you will find nice villages and towns, interesting sights, rolling hills and rugged bays with cliff paths. Again, the following applies: how many and which islands are visited depends on the weather, but there will certainly be time for beautiful excursions on land.

Along the Breton coast, the sailing trip continues with possible stops in Paimpol or Roscoff and the city of Brest as the end point of this sailing trip.
