Sail with the Red Swan for a day during the Clipperrace on the IJsselmeer and experience a real sailing race together with the experienced crew. Boarding a clipper during this sailing competition is an ideal way to sail a competition on a real traditional sailing ship.
The Clipper Race has existed since 1975 and consists of two parts, the Three Cities Race and the Olympic track. The Three Cities Race will be sailed on Saturday. This race starts with the spectacular anchor start in the Krabbersgat near Enkhuizen, unless the wind blows directly from the northeast. Then two of the three designated buoys must be rounded. These buoys are located at Medemblik, Stavoren and Urk. The finish is in the Krabbersgat. An Olympic track will be sailed on Sunday. The two classes start one after the other and the lanes partially overlap, keeping the field together throughout the race.
You don't have to be an experienced sailor to race with, but basic knowledge of sailing is useful. Before sailing, everyone will receive sailing instructions, so that you and the professional crew can help as best as possible when sailing the Red Swan.

Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
