Sail with the flat-bottomed ship Ortolan on the Wadden Sea and discover the Netherlands in a special way.
Spending the family holiday on the water in the open air, how nice is that. Something for everyone: adventure and / or relaxation. Whether you come with the whole family, leave one parent at home, or grandparents bringing their grandchildren with you; you're in the right place on the sailing ship Ortolan! Sailing experience is not necessary.
On Saturday afternoon, the crew welcomes you on the two-masted clipper Ortolan. After the luggage has been brought into the cabin, there will be an opportunity during lunch to get to know the other seamen and crew. On deck, the sailor gives a short sailing instruction. The children are given an "Orto-Journal" where they can write down everything important during the week (eg how to practice knot tying, steering and navigation, learning sailing terms, etc.).
Together the passengers and the sailor set the sails. The destination of this trip is the Wadden Sea. During the sailing trip you will visit and explore different Wadden Islands, dry up, watch seals, collect shells, drop anchor, look at the stars. So there is plenty to do on this sailing holiday.
During this sailing trip, the ship's cook provides culinary delights. In addition, there are different activities for the children every day, so that parents have quiet time to do something all for themselves.
