Drying up and stargazing

Friday 15 September 2023 20: 00 t / m Sunday 17 September 2023 17: 00

Drying up & Stargazing

The Wadden Sea is an untouched part of the Netherlands. The night is still really dark. Certainly at sea, so that this is the ideal place to admire the starry sky. This weekend was chosen because even the moon won't appear in the night sky and you can see the stars in their full, twinkling glory.

Travel information

On Friday from 20:00 you will board the Groninger in Makkum. Then there is a welcome and explanation about the stay on board. Saturday morning, after breakfast, guests receive an introduction from the sailor on deck. When the mooring lines have been cast loose, the ship sails into the Wadden Sea. The skipper looks for a quiet place at sea for the night, where the passengers can admire the starry sky when it is dark. In the afternoon there is first an opportunity to walk on the mudflats. On Sunday the ship sails back to Harlingen.
