This year the Thalassa will sail from France to Denmark. Step aboard and experience the impressive crossing. At night you can see the beautiful starry skies, which are more extensive, brighter and contain more constellations than you will ever be able to see from land. This journey starts in Bordeaux and ends in Esbjerg where the Tallships Races 2022 will start the next day.
A wonderful sailing trip from France to Denmark, from a cultural event in France to a nautical event in Denmark. Enjoy a beautiful, relaxing sailing trip along the French ocean coast, the English Channel and across the North Sea. Along the way you will visit the most beautiful European islands of Belle le (France), Wight (British Isles) and Terschelling (Netherlands).
You will be warmly welcomed on June 26, 2022 aboard Tallship Thalassa in the port of Bordeaux where the famous Bordeaux wine festival will be concluded. After a relaxing sailing trip along the sunny French ocean coast, you can explore the French island of Belle Île on or about June 28. After this visit, the sails are set for a beautiful sailing trip of a few days after which Thalassa arrives at the British Isle of Wight. Here, too, anyone can spend a day ashore. The ship then sets course for the Dutch island of Terschelling, which can also be visited for a full day. After the stop-over in Terschelling, the Thalassa will sail from the Dutch coastal waters to Denmark, where it will make its entrance on 7 July 2022 in Esbjerg. In good company of other classic sea giants you can enjoy an impressive entry into Esbjerg where Thalassa is a participant in the impressive Sail-in organized by Sail Training International. On site in Esbjerg, everything will be dominated by worldwide sailing heritage.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
