More than 75 traditional ships start each year during the Brandaris race. The participating ships sail from Harlingen to Terschelling. According to good practice, this test of strength takes place at the end of the sailing season. Embark on board and experience this spectacle. You embark on Friday evening and the next day the race towards Terschelling starts. After a few hours of hard work, we finish in front of the port of West-Terschelling. There is the prize giving ceremony in the evening. This only ends in the late hours and is often one big party. The next day we sail back to Harlingen in a relaxed manner.
A helping hand is expected from the guests. Sailing experience is not necessary. A professional crew will accompany you, who will tell you what you can do. This weekend you can help to your heart's content with hoisting the sails, tacking and all other activities on deck.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
