This 8-day trip on board the Bontekoe runs from Friday evening (optionally Saturday morning 10 am) to Friday afternoon. This year, the skipper is again organizing a week-long sailing in the summer, on the beautiful mudflats, for anyone who wants to come along. This can also be done together with a friend, partner, or with your whole family! Whether it is your first time on a sailing ship, but even if you have sailed many times before, you will certainly feel welcome on the Bontekoe. Come and enjoy sailing, the mudflats, the islands, and get to know each other.
On Friday evening from 21 pm you will be welcomed on board by skippers Niels and Renée with a cup of coffee or tea, you will meet the other sailors and you will be shown around the ship.
The next day, if you have already come on board on Friday evening, you will first enjoy your breakfast, while the skipper welcomes the guests who come on board in the morning. The crew first explains how the sailing works, and around 10 o'clock the mooring lines can be released!
What exactly the route will be on the following days is not fixed due to weather, wind and tide. But there is plenty of time to visit several islands and to dry out. The crew has extensive knowledge of the area and can tell and show you everything.
In the evening while you help moor the ship, the cook is already preparing dinner. The sailors eat together on board, but afterwards there is of course still time left to explore the area. You can go into town, walk or rent a bicycle. Or you stay on board to play a game with the other sailors, find a quiet corner with a book, or just chat. But.... maybe we can spend a night behind the anchor, in the middle of the Wadden Sea!
Friday, the last day, the Bontekoe sails back to the port of departure and you leave the ship around 16 pm.

Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
