The charming Enkhuizen on the IJsselmeer is one of the most beautiful harbor towns in this sailing area. This special sailing holiday starts here. From the moment you step on board for the first time, you will feel right at home aboard the sailing ship La Boheme.
Once all guests are on board, the sailing plan will be discussed after the introduction based on the map, the weather forecast and the tide table. You can actually go in any direction, but the wind decides. At the beginning of the days that follow, under the watchful eye of the skipper and with the help of the mate, the sails are hoisted.
The tour has a lot to offer. You will discover the quiet beach on Terschelling, the chic beach bar on Vlie, the smallest café on the harbor of Enkhuizen, the beautiful lighthouse on Ameland, the beautiful cycling routes on Texel, and the delicious kibbeling in Den Oever. If the weather conditions and the tide are favourable, there will probably also be dry spells. It is a very special experience to walk on the mudflats on the sandbars that have dried up.
The last day the skipper sails back to Enkhuizen. Here you say goodbye to each other and you can look back on a beautiful week of sailing where you have discovered the nicest places on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea.
From the IJsselmeer you will soon be on the Wadden, where you will visit various islands: Terschelling, Vlieland, Ameland and perhaps Texel or Schiermonnikoog? Depending on the wind and tide, the skipper examines the options for reaching the islands under sail. Every day life on the Wadden is different. In this large unspoilt nature reserve, designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site, ebb and flow determine the life of millions of birds and thousands of seals.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
