6-day (18+) on IJsselmeer and Wadden Sea

Sunday 11 June 2023 21: 00 t / m Friday 16 June 2023 15: 00

Midweek sailing with La Boheme

A sailing holiday where everything coincides

The charming Enkhuizen on the IJsselmeer, or the tough Harlingen on the Wadden Sea; they are both one of the most beautiful harbor towns of these sailing areas. Sailing with a traditional sailing ship over these large waters guarantees a special sailing holiday.

Sailing area

For longer trips, it doesn't matter much whether you board in Harlingen or Enkhuizen. In both cases you come to both the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea. Because the crew wants to show you everything. After that you can really talk about westerly winds and calms, about the Steile Bank and windward and leeward. All that between Amsterdam and Ameland…

Program

Once all guests are on board, the sailing plan will be discussed after the introduction on the basis of the sailing chart, the weather forecast and the tide table. You can actually go in any direction, but the wind decides. At the beginning of the days that follow, under the watchful eye of the skipper and with the help of the mate, the sails are hoisted. The engine cuts out… silence. Falling dry, you will probably experience that too. Four hours before low tide, the ship is moored at a sandbank. The ebb sets in and after a few hours you walk around on the seabed. In the pit behind the helm, the water is pleasantly warm, great for splashing about. On the IJsselmeer you can dive, who dares, from the jib boom into the cool water.
The tour has a lot to offer. You will discover the quiet beach on Terschelling, the chic beach club on Vlie, the smallest café on the harbor of Enkhuizen, the beautiful lighthouse on Ameland, the beautiful cycling routes on Texel, the stately buildings in Hoorn, and the delicious kibbeling in Den Oever.
Then the last sailing day has arrived. A farewell photo as a memento of your fellow sailors, and as a reminder of a time when the wind determined your course. You have experienced it all when, after all those wonderful days, you are bronzed and blonder by the sunny weather on the quay.
