In 1999, the Seven Forests was exactly a century old. This two-mast clipper sailed the Zeeland waters for the first sixty years, mainly with coal from Germany and loose cement. As a result, the ship also has the Roosendaal size, because the Zeven Wouden had to be able to pass through the lock in Roosendaal.
Until about fifteen years ago the ship sailed without a sail, but it has now been restored to its original state. Now the Zeven Wouden is a graceful ship with a lot of additional sails, to which great care has been taken both inside and outside. Inside the ship is a cozy lounge with a semi-open kitchen with excellent equipment. There are 7 cabins, 2 of which have a double bed.
The guests on board are in excellent hands, because the crew is very involved in the ups and downs of the passengers. Sailing from Lemmer on the Zeven Wouden across the IJsselmeer is a special experience.
Thanks to sustainable business operations, De Zeven Wouden has been rewarded with a bronze Green Key certificate.
