Welcome to the Orion

A very special place to spend the night, relax, enjoy a holiday or simply do something other than a hotel. The Orion is a sea tjalk from 1892. Until 1953, the 140 ton cargo was shipped sailing. Orion has been in service as a sailing passenger ship since 1983. In recent years, Orion has undergone a refit to comply with regulations and contemporary comfort. Inside you will experience an old-fashioned feeling with the luxury of today.

The Orion can be booked at various locations during the winter months:

In Monnickendam are restaurants, museums and shops on 1 minute walk away. There are also several walking and cycling routes in the area, along Volendam, Marken and Broek in Waterland.
In Volendam is Orion the dike with all entertainment venues, museums and shops. Hiking trails, boat tours and bicycle tours to Marken, Edam and Monnickendam are possible.
Amsterdam is Orion near the Central Station, absolutely everything is possible and within walking distance.
