A tough ship

This robust Frisian custom cabinet is truly unique in the fleet and has a rich history. For example, in 1926 it was specially built "custom" to fit exactly in the locks of the Frisian inland waterways. Her shallow draft ensures that the Ideal sails easily on both the Wad and the IJsselmeer. A trip on the Frisian inland waterways is also possible. The ship has recently become a one-master again.

Interior

From the outside, the sailing ship is still completely authentic with its hatch covers, ironable masts and a cozy seat. Below deck you immediately notice how comfortable and spacious the ship is. The spacious galley is fully equipped and there is an attractive day room. The cabins are spacious and light and equipped with hot and cold running water and windows that open. The entire ship is heated with central heating.

Despite its heavy and tough appearance, the ship has particularly good sailing characteristics. The Ideal is in its element, especially with strong winds. Everyone aboard this ship undoubtedly enjoys an ideal sailing trip!
