On the road with a beautiful river clipper

The river clipper de Grootvorst can be booked for day trips and sailing trips lasting several days. The home port is the historic port city of Harlingen. De Grootvorst was originally built in 1896 as a river clipper and sailed with cargo until 1985. In 1985 she was completely rebuilt into a luxury passenger ship. She got three masts with 520 m² of sail and now it is still a beautiful sailing three-masted clipper. During day trips a maximum of 50 guests can board, during multi-day trips there is room for 32 people.

Interior

De Grootvorst offers a lot of space on the upper deck with access to the salon from the cockpit. In this beautiful salon you can sit sheltered with a beautiful view of the water while sailing.

Inside, the ship is fully equipped. The day room is ship and atmospheric, there are two comfortable day rooms. The kitchen is professionally equipped to prepare meals for large groups. The kitchen has a catering stove, oven, warming cabinet, dishwasher and beer tap installation. A large cold room makes this galley a professional kitchen. The ship offers sleeping places for a maximum of 32 persons, divided into 2-person, 3-person and 4-person cabins.
