Gulden Belofte
Enjoy comfort and sailing
Sailing on the Gulden Belofte is a real experience. You can choose to help the team with real ship activities, or lounge on the deck with the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. Once out of the harbor and with the wind in its sails there is time for relaxation with snacks and drinks and a beautiful view.
The Golden Promise
The ship is a 28-meter long steel Zeeland clipper with two masts and over 400m2 of 'Gulden' sails. After being abandoned twice, it has been restored to perfection and is located in the harbor of Monnickendam. At least, that's where she lies when she's not sailing on the Ijsselmeer or around the Wadden Islands.
Interior
During the restoration, Bertil and Ibora have restored all authentic elements of the Gulden Belofte to their value with a good eye for detail. In addition, they have also taken care of the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen and equipped them with luxury equipment, mattresses and comfortable bathroom furniture. It has a professional kitchen, compact yet luxurious bathrooms and bedrooms and once on board everyone feels like a king on the water.
The Gulden Belofte has a spacious, atmospheric and light day room and a large cockpit where you and your company can enjoy the view over the water. Snuggle up in a Fatboy or lounge on the couches, and be pampered with tasty snacks and drinks.
There is plenty of entertainment on board for young and old. The rib goes along for extra tension and sensation on the water, and on sunny days the ship anchors in the middle of the water so that you can swim to your heart's content.
