Sailing with the Vrijbuiter
The Vrijbuiter is a good sailor with many extra 'play sails' to be able to make even more speed during longer trips. The skipper likes to get everything out of the ship together with his guests.
The skipper couple bought the Vrijbuiter in 2020 and have since done their best to make the ship their own. They find it important that the ship looks authentic and hospitable. They have therefore largely left the hatch cover as it was before. This allows you to open the shutters in the evening, so that you can eat in the open air while you are actually inside.
There are wide gangways and a well-arranged deck so that you can move well over the ship. Seats form naturally: the superstructure becomes a sofa, a fender becomes a cushion and the deck becomes a bed.
Interior
Below deck is a large salon with a cozy, well-equipped kitchen. It is atmospheric, stubborn, with an eye for detail.
There are four 2-person cabins and two 6-person cabins on board. A total of 20 guests can sleep on board. There are two toilets and a shower. The living room with open kitchen feels like a living room, a nice place to have a chat at the end of a beautiful day of sailing, and then go to the cage.
Sustainable sailing
The skipper couple of the Vrijbuiter wants to enjoy sailing and the beauty of nature on the water. In addition, they strive for sustainability in all areas within the company. Soon they will get an electric motor that is powered by Electra that they generate themselves by means of solar panels, wind turbines and a retroactive screw. For the catering, the cook chooses local and/or organic.
