Fortuna
Welcome to the Fortuna
The Fortuna is a good sailing ship and offers plenty of living space and comfort. The Fortuna was launched in 1913 as a sailing freighter, a Wad- and Sontvaarder. In 2005 the Fortuna was rebuilt as a sturdy top sailing schooner, with its impressive rigging. The rigging is fully geared to the widest possible range of options, so that in addition to active sailing, you can also relax. Daredevils are allowed - accompanied by the crew - to climb the rigging of the schooner mast via rope ladders.
A great experience whether it's a sailing holiday, weekend away, family day, team building or an incentive. You can expect a warm welcome and we will gladly let you experience sailing on this beautiful ship.
Campaigns
In the past, the campaign, the most beautiful place on board, was reserved for the captain. Now this is the place where the guests of the Fortuna stay. The salon is luxuriously furnished and offers more than enough space. At the bar you can have a cold beer, cool the drinks and make a nice cup of coffee.
Meeting on board? That is excellent! The salon is arranged in such a way that you can meet at two long tables and of course there is also a projector and projection screen.
Interior
The cabins are equipped with long beds (at least 2 meters long) with comfortable mattresses, a sink with hot and cold running water, mechanical ventilation, heating and an electrical outlet. Due to the enormous deck surface with numerous sun and seating options, the Fortuna is next to weekend and week trips very suitable for a day trip such as a company outing or a wedding for 50 people. The intermediate deck is particularly safe due to the high bulwark on the sides, which also makes this ship suitable for sailing with small children.
