Whether they are on board for a few hours or several days, the aim is to give everyone an experience that they will talk about for a long time. Young and old, passionate sailor or relaxed enjoyer: everyone feels at home at the Catharina van Mijdrecht.
Sailing cargo ship
The Catharina van Mijdrecht was built in 1916, as one of the last sailing freighters. This original Dedemster Klipperaak started her second career as a passenger ship in the mid-eighties of the last century after a long freight period.
Authentic atmosphere
The restoration was carried out with great attention to the original appearance of the ship. The interior exudes an authentic atmosphere, with lots of varnished wood and nautical details. The day room is spacious and cozy, so that you can also sit comfortably with a large group. There is ample seating on deck for everyone and for enthusiasts there is a spacious sun deck. The sleeping accommodation meets the standard requirements in terms of comfort: every cabin has running water, lighting, a power outlet and a porthole that can be opened.
Capacity
The Catharina van Mijdrecht has a daily capacity of 40 people. In addition, it has 22 sleeping places, divided into 9 rooms.
