Welcome to the Alida
In 1907 the Alida was launched as a freighter and has lived a long and eventful life ever since. With her unique 'chine' construction method and her enormous 'swing gate' rudder, she is the last of a generation of river ships. All this can be read in the book '100 years of Alida' that was published in 2007. In 1990 she was converted into a charter vessel and was once again a sailing company vessel. Cabins, galley and sanitary facilities were renewed in the winter of 2009/2010.
Adventurous sailing
Sailing on the Alida can rightly be called a comfortable adventure. The ship can also be sailed well with guests without sailing experience. All needs are catered for on board, so you can anchor outside a harbor at night. Depending on the tides, you can then disembark in the middle of the Wadden Sea at dawn on the Wadden Sea and take a walk. In addition, hospitality is paramount for the skipper and excellent catering can be provided. You will not soon forget sailing on the Alida.
Interior
The Alida has ten 2-person cabins and a 2-person cabin with a double bed. A cozy lounge with open kitchen. Many authentic details have been carefully preserved during the renovation and modernization. Atmosphere and comfort go hand in hand. The Alida is a flat-bottomed boat that is very well suited for adventurous sailing trips on the Wadden Sea and the IJsselmeer. The bright lounge is suitable for young and old. The eleven 2-person cabins also offer comfortable accommodation for groups that do not know each other well.
