This summer you can experience a unique sailing arrangement: 24 hours on the Wad.
During this XNUMX-hour period you will discover all aspects of the Wadden Sea. You will board one of the ships around noon, in the beautiful old seaport of Harlingen.
The skipper and sailor give you a warm welcome and after you have furnished your cabin you will receive an explanation about the ins and outs on board a traditional sailing ship. Then the ship sails out of the harbor and the sails are set. After a sailing trip, the anchor is dropped at the place where the ship is going to dry up. When evening falls, the ship lies on a wide sandbank and you can take a beautiful mudflat walk while watching the sun sink into the sea.
When it is dark, the water returns and the ship begins to float again. It is very special to spend a night on the Wad, the silence, the stars and around the ship only water and sandbanks. You will then fall asleep to the sound of rippling water. After a good breakfast, the sailing trip back to Harlingen starts where you will arrive again around noon.
Food allergies and dietary requirements
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to discuss this before booking. Often it is not a problem, but sometimes some cooperation is expected from the guests if special products have to be purchased, which will then have to be taken by the guests themselves, for example.
