This race is named after the Terschellinger lighthouse Brandaris. It is a sporting competition between more than eighty clippers, tjalks, barges and other 'sailing monuments'. A true spectacle to experience. It starts in Harlingen, after which all ships set course for Terschelling. All ships will be brought together in the port of West-Terschelling there. The village is bustling with many sailors and in the evening there is a very pleasant party during the award ceremony.
On board you will experience a spectacular race, sailing experience is not necessary, but a healthy dose of effort is required to optimally sail the ship with the entire crew. It is an ideal opportunity to experience the special atmosphere of competitive sailing with historic cargo ships. The ship's cook ensures that nothing is missing.
